Q: How far in advance should I order?
A: As custom designs require time (from ideas, to making changes, and design approval), it is best to give us as much notice as possible. Custom design orders should be finalized (order details have been decided and agreed upon between the customer and On the Rise Custom Bakeshop no later than 2 weeks before the expected delivery date, with the 50% deposit paid to secure your date. Larger orders (60 cookies or more) require three weeks in advance of the delivery date.
Q: Can I cancel or make changes to my order?
A: Yes! Changes to custom orders can be made up to two weeks before the date of delivery, depending on the size of your order. Larger custom orders needing changes may require more advanced notice (at our discretion), due to the extra time that may be required to prepare a large order. Email us at hello@ontherise.ca to make any changes. Changes made less than 2 weeks before the date of delivery will not be accepted.
Any cancellations will be honored in the form of store credit in the amount that the deposit/full payment was made, for up to 1 year from the payment date.
Q: Where do you deliver?
A: We deliver to addresses located in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond, at an additional cost of $5 applied at checkout. If you are unsure whether your address lies within our delivery area, send us an email at hello@ontherise.ca.
Q: What allergens should I be aware of?
A: While we do not have nuts in our cookies, we do incorporate eggs and dairy in our recipes and they are made in a facility where nuts, eggs, dairy, wheat, gluten, and soy may be present.
Q: Is the ink that’s printed onto the cookies safe to eat?
A: Yes! It is an edible ink that is Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified, which ensures that it has been consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards for its intended use.
